Women’s Business Development Center’s Director at ScaleUp

Tasha Brown is the Women’s Business Development Center’s Director of ScaleUp. ScaleUp is a multi-week cohort-based program that is designed to assist established Chicagoland businesses that are experiencing sustainability and growth issues due to COVID-19. ScaleUp equips entrepreneurs with business knowledge, financial tools, resources, and networks necessary to maintain profitable businesses hat retain and create jobs, fuel economic growth and build strong communities.

Tasha conducts both group and one-on-one advising sessions, does outreach, and occasionally facilitates training for the program. With her extensive experience working with established businesses and startups, Tasha has maintained continuity of WBDC services.

Tasha has a diversity of experience working with government grants, working in the academy, working with non-profit organizations, and working with entrepreneurs.

She is an experienced entrepreneur and brings a level of passion and dedication to her work as a business advisor and Director of ScaleUp. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in human resource development, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry in pastoral and spiritual care.
